Police officials north of Sacramento are blaming eating while driving for a multiple car crash Thursday morning.
The accident occurred in the town of Antelope. About 3:30 a.m., a man was driving down a neighborhood street when he crashed into two parked cars. The impact caused the man’s car to flip over onto its roof, authorities said.
Witnesses told Fox 40 news the man was eating a taco while he was driving. Officers say he was looking down brushing some crumbs off his lap when he crashed into the cars.
The speed limit on Mohican Way in Sacramento County is about 20 mph, and officers report the man was driving much faster than that at the time of the accident.
The driver was not hurt, and there was no one inside the parked cars.
