PASADENA, Calif. (KTLA) -- An alleged teenage accomplice is facing murder charges, after a suspected robber was killed by police in Pasadena.
Officers responded to a call just after 11 p.m. Saturday at a taco truck near Fair Oaks and Orange Grove Boulevard.
The victim called police after he had been robbed at gunpoint during a late night visit to the truck.
The suspect -- identified as 20-year-old Kendrec Lavelle McDade, of Azusa -- was shot after officers say he reached into his waistband.
Paramedics took him to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Two officers involved in the shooting were not injured.
No weapon was found at the scene.
A 17-year-old suspect was arrested in connection with the incident.
The teen was booked on suspicion of murder under a legal theory that he committed a felony that resulted in the death of a co-suspect.
His name was not released because he is a minor.
