Okay so I got the cd last night at midnight at Easy Street in Seattle. I got it for $8.99 and it came with a poster of the cover. Let me say that I think this is one of the best albums (well acctually half a album seeing the other half is coming out later this year) I have heard in a long time. On this album you hear funk, some punk and reggae mixed into it and of course alot of good metal.

Even though Serj has one of the dopest voices out I think that Daron's additional singing on the album adds something fresh to their sound. Plus they play really well off of each other IMO. There really isn't a song that I don't like on the album. The stand out tracks to me are Radio/Video, Question!, This Cocaine Makes Me Feel Like I'm On This Song (what a great name for rock a song :devious:) and of course B.Y.O.B. But all the songs are great IMO.

The only downside I can find is that the album clocks in at 36 minutes and 11 seconds. But then again this is only the first half....

9.5/10 for now and that is only after a few plays through..

So anyone else who got it what do you think of it?

I give it a 9.0 / 10, and might consider it their best album yet.

I really feel they found their true sound. It's definitely harder than Toxicity (which is good), and the melody and rhythm of the album as a whole is better than their Self Titled cd, even.

Each song is pretty unique, and you can distinguish them easily, yet the whole thing blends very well at the same time.. Not one skippable song (although the Cocaine titled song isn't as good as the others in my opinion).

My favorite songs right now are: Violent Pornography, Radio/Video, Revenga, and Old School Hollywood. I just wish there were 14-16 songs instead of 11.

Yeah Revenga and Radio/Video are both dope as fuck. Either one of those would work really well for their next single. For some odd reason I have the feeling Radio/Video is going to be the single though. I don't know about in other cities but here in Seattle Radio/Video is getting alot of play on the rock radio stations.

Mezmerize also entered the charts at number 1 this week with domestic (U.S.A.) sales at 453,000 with total sales worldwide at over 800,000.

Those are some really good numbers for the first week.....
