I snatched an avi version of this film last night and watched it at 2 am in the morning. The quality of the avi is GREAT (it was ripped from a dvd used for nominations.)

Anyone else see the movie? Did you like it? Did you hate it? IMHO it simply tells it like it is. Backstabbing, murder, bribery, coverup....the american way...

I downloaded it not too long ago myself. I was thinking about creating a thread but I didn’t think anyone saw it yet.

I share your opinions on the film. Basically it showed shit from all sides.

I’ve let a few people borrow it and they all said it was too slow and hard to follow. You're actually the first person that I know of who thinks it was a good film.

If you’re expecting a “shoot ‘em up bang bang” type movie like the previews suggested, then you’re not going to like it.

Oh, I also downloaded “Good Night and Good Luck”, another George Clooney movie, this one is about McCarthyism and the so called “communist threat” in the media during the 50’s. Also worth watching, imo.

yea, I wanted to watch both of those movies, aint had the chance.. prolly get one of my friends to burn em or I'll just wait til it gets on demand. My pops saw Good night and Good luck, he said it was a proper film.

yeah man, they made it black and white to give it the 50's television vibe. It's a good movie, I think it's an important part of history that all amerikans should be aware of. Those that dont know the past are doomed to repeat it.

Many will argue that we're currently going through a similar period with our current administration (if you're not with us than you're against us, illegal spying, patriot act, peace organizations labeled terrorists, huge "suspected terrorist" databases, etc.). The difference was back then it was the war on communism, today its the war on terrorism.

It was also written and directed by George Clooney. I used to hate the guy but I have to give props

Ive been meaning to check out these two movies......I just got Good Night and Good Luck.....ill get Syriana tommorow....ill post my opinion on both after I watch them...
