Some news my folks put up on my myspace page this morning. This is some good shit, proving poetry is art...proving rap is art.
"On May 4th, 2007, Sydal was presented with the Editor's Choice Award for outstanding achievement in Poetry. The poem Sydal was awarded for is called "I LOVE HER", which is a great dedication to the woman in his life.
On top of the award, "I Love Her" will be published in a hardbound poetry book, and placed on a 3 Disc album called "THE SOUND OF POETRY"...which is basically a spoken word album.
Sydal has shown us that the written word can be used for so much, and reach so many. He's a rapper, an artist, a poet, and a man, and he constantly shows it. Support this man, he is one of a kind in this generation.
