PHOENIX (AP) - Suns guard Jason Richardson is facing charges of driving under the influence in an American Indian tribal community in metropolitan Phoenix.

Richardson was stopped by a Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community police officer in the early morning of Dec. 21, according to a citation filed in court.

He was pulled over while driving a 2008 Mercedes.

Richardson is charged with DUI and for driving with a blood alcohol level above .08. He also has been cited for failure to drive in one lane.

He was traded to the Suns from the Golden State Warriors less then a month ago.

Richardson is being represented by attorney Larry Kazan. Calls to Kazan's office weren't immediately returned Monday afternoon.

A hearing date hasn't been set.

What the heck is going on in the NBA??? First Barkley, then Walker, and now Richardson.

Just why in the hell do these players and celebs just call for a limo when they've had too much to drink ?

What the fuck? How dumb can u be? You should be fired as a journalist for saying this-"He was traded to the Suns from the Golden State Warriors less then a month ago."

BESIDES ALL THAT, hes not facing charges YET. Worst article ive ever read. heres the real deal-

Suns' guard Jason Richardson was accused by police of driving under the influence when he was stopped on Dec. 21 in Arizona.
He was cited and released, and it's currently unknown if this will draw a suspension from the Suns or the league, although it isn't likely unless he's found guilty. He should be safe to leave in your lineup for now.

Both Barkley and Richardson will serve a MINIMUM 10 days in jail. If it's extreme dui then I believe it's 30 days. Arizona has the toughest dui laws in the country.
