Here is a project I just finished putting together called STRIVIN’ - The 2008 Bay Area Selections.
What we have here is every Bay Area track I posted at STRIVIN’ in 2008. This includes tracks from Bay Area artists as well as tracks from other areas that featured Bay Area artists. Some artists on here are transplants from elsewhere, but call the Bay home now. Some split time between the Bay and elsewhere. Also note that some tracks are old, but didn’t get put on a release until 2008. I also included an interview that Billy Jam did with Mac Dre while Dre was in Fresno County Jail.
I want to thank every artist, manager, label, publicist, etc… who provided me and my website with this music. Looking forward to another great year with y’all.
All in all, I think this is a great mixture of songs that really showcases the diversity of Bay Area hip hop.
