Shine International has signed a global distribution deal with Strikeforce, one of the world’s leading mixed martial arts (MMA) promotions, to sell its entire library of television programming, including more than 70 hours of content, to international markets.

"Mixed martial arts is quickly becoming one of the most dynamic and popular sports in the world. The Strikeforce brand already represents the absolute best of this business domestically, and Shine International is thrilled to help them extend their brand internationally," said Chris Grant, President of Shine International. "Strikeforce attracts the world's best fighters and their events are superior to any others being offered to international broadcasters today. They are ideal partners for us."

“We are excited about the opportunity to bring Strikeforce fights to the homes of MMA fans throughout the world,” said Strikeforce Founder and CEO Scott Coker. “Shine International is a world renowned leader in the international television business and, with their support, we are confident that we will be able to greatly expand the scope of the Strikeforce brand.”

The Strikeforce library of programming includes 30 episodes of previously recorded fights that have aired on NBC and more than 56 hours of fights that have aired on Showtime. The deal between Strikeforce and Shine International also encompasses new, upcoming live fights through February 2012 as well as Strikeforce Challengers fights, pitting Strikeforce up-and-comers against each other. Strikeforce recently announced its first broadcast on CBS to air live fights on the U.S. network, further increasing the leagues exposure, with the first event slated for Nov. 7, 2009, at Chicago’s Sears Centre Arena.

Strikeforce definitely has talent within it's organization and it's partnership with Dream.

btw I can't stand seeing people list Aoki as #2 LW in the world. IMO dude would get wrecked in the UFC. That butt scoot shit would not work and there's just way too many good wrestlers with solid standup.

To be honest, I think he should be #1 lol. If you go by accomplishments and not who would win Aoki > BJ.

In the last year and a half Aoki's beat JZ who was top 5 at the time, Uno, Alvarez who was #2, Shaolin and 3 other guys. Lost to Hansen, and Mach at WW.
BJ's beat Sherk who was top 5 and Florian who was top 5, and Joe Daddy who was unranked if you go to a year and 9 months. Lost to GSP at WW.

That being said, BJ would kill Aoki.

Uno?? Shaolin?? These guys are GARBAGE. Look what happened to Uno when he cameback to the UFC. BJ would DEMOLISH Aoki.

Aoki should have start a career in acting. Dude is such a baby.

Can you imagine Aoki vs someone like Tyson Griffin? Aoki wouldn't be able to take him down, wouldn't be able to sub him, no way in hell he's KOing him and would get chased the entire fight. Oh, and he wouldn't be able to fake an injury for a timeout or have the bias japanese refs help him out.

lol I know, Aoki's not really suited against the guys in UFC. But hypothetical fights never really work in MMA because you don't know what can happen till it does.

Remember when Dos Anjos almost broke Tyson's leg?
