Made yesterday's local newspaper.

As cheesy as the headline reads, they are paying me good money to teach a video class. This job was offered to me by the County (Monterey County) after the screening of the Street Connect Documentary this past April. Some County people were in attendance and liked my work & offered me the job.

Two other local film makers will be teaching as well, but they have credentials behind them. Attended schools for film making, received scholarships, awards etc. in that field. I simply came out of the hood with no credentials other than a passion & dedication for this music when I put together the documentary. Opportunity has knocked and I'm taking it.

In return my plans are to bring the underground scene with me. Talented artist, producers etc. and includes not just people from my region, but rather people from the Bay as well. It's the only way for a true West Coast domination.

Doors are opening and County people are looking. If all goes as planned for me, I will indeed network to make this happen. Not just in video, but in everything where they may need talent.

This also means that the Street Connect Documentary will hopefully be screened within the area for more people to have a chance to watch it. Plus have backing by the County.

BUT! First, I am going to tackle every task thrown at me by them and bring it back ten fold!

Congrats

That's the mentality we should all have. Get in the door and kick it down so other talented ppl can eat.
