anyone else not too happy about the upcoming fights? None of the high profile fights seem to be worth while, in terms of $$ to view and overall significance. Looks like winter is going to be a sleeper for Boxing fans. Where is the solid new talent? Where n the hell are consistant heavyweight fighters?

I am down on Boxing for its coruption, but whats new there. There are some great fighters out there right now some in their twilight. RJJ,Hopkins,Oscar,Mosley,Mayweather,Morales,MAB,Winky, Holyfield are all Hall of Famers. This weekend should be a good fight to watch. As for the new blood out there, Cotto and Taylor both are solid.

Exactly, MMA is cutting in on Boxing in a big way. I know I would almost watch MMA over Boxing everytime now.

Good post...I'm definitely excited about these matches.

I hope that Margarito gets his bell rung by Clottey. They're both toe-to-toe fighters, so I'm hoping it'll be a slugfest. Margartio talks so much shit about Mayweather, but honestly Floyd is way too fast for him, and will box circles around him.

Margarito is way overrated IMO.

so why does mayweather avoid him ?..as far as the speed thing, remember he was also faster then castillo and many thought castillo won their first fight.

^ True that...I don't know though...I've heard Floyd's people say that the risk outweighs the benifits...but one of the benifits would be earning the title as the UNDISPUTED champ of the world...

So I don't get it either...

I would love to see that fight though...

Floyd has trouble with anyone who stays busy. People are always trying to pick their shots and catch him. If you stay busy with him he is on pure defense.

Castillo stayed busy and won the first fight. Victoriano Sosa did pretty well until he got tired in the late rounds. Margarito and Hatton both stay extremely busy and I strongly believe they would beat him.

That's enough PBF hating for me tonight...
