whos seen those new sprite commericials with that little black dude spitting out all these cliche lines that seem to belong on chingys album or some shit...you see it in sportcenter where everyone since stuart scott started treating the job as rappers delight or some shit...chances are if you hear some stupid ass line on a rap song youll hear it on sportcenter the day after...you got commercial after commercial w a couple of bozos talking as if they were in the middle of south central or as if they were auditioning for a spot on nellys latest video...i was watching some comedy show on nickolodeon the other night and they had a sketch about some burger joint...this one lone black guy with his 4 white as white can be friends...all decked out in baggy pants, chains, the latest kicks, and fubu jerseys, all of them throwing out everyones favorite words like, "wasup witdat?"..."bling bling this, black yak that"...lmao.

it seems that blacks had a style all to themselves, a lingo of their own, a culture that they established for themselves, now you got whites copying that shit and it seems like blacks are being robbed of their own identity...nowadays you got the white kids with their throwbacks, you got the trendy mexican pretty boys with their fubu and their dada...you got white kids using the word "nigga" like it was nothing...

does this make anyone else sick?...im not black and i cant help but feel a bit annoyed at how some of these white folks act, andhow some of these white fat cats exploit blacks to sell their drinks, food, clothes, etc etc.

I think the main reason white people take on other peoples cultures or phrases is becasue they feel like there being left of something. I dont know what they think there missing but it seems like if they dont know what your talking about, or where you got that new pair of shoes from , they hunt it down until they make it theres either by white washing it or using the fuck out of it so that everyone else gets tired of hearing or seeing the same old shit. Its kinda like they keep coming up with ways to make shit stupid and were the ones who keep coming up with the tight new shit....

AskG, I feel the same and I'm Black and offended but whites have had a fascination with blacks since the days of minstrels in blackface. When Amos N' Andy premiered, the startling thing is that its creators were two white men. When hip-hop came along in the '70s, it was the voice of Black America to express struggles, etc. All that changed when it hit the mainstream when rappers started going gold the first time and white CEO's saw a profit in rap, which is why when NWA hit you had kids in the suburbs who, when they listened, fantasized about what was Dre and Cube's realities at the time and felt that they could identify, which we all know they couldn't and still can't. I hate that what we have gets slaughtered for the masses enjoyment.

another similar thing i think is...that white folks aint got much of a culture...i mean you go to mexico they got unique tradition, go to africa they got theirs, go to anywhere in the world and there is something unique about them...white folks dont really have anything of the past to hold onto...they got their snakeback ancestors who pretty much got evertything they have by stealing it...for example mexican food is good, chinese food is good, every corner of the world has got their twist, then you come to the us and motherfuckers are eating ham and cheese sandwiches, going out to taco bell and take out chinese food...
are whites just here for the fuck of being here?
what do they contribute to society?...they aint got no culture.

There are those who still hold to European traditions, though they are in the minority. "White" culture has amalgamated and, for the most part, became a larger part of the whole. Irish, Russian, Italian, etc. customs still exist among a small few, but when Americans grouped together on the basis of white skin, many of the old ways were forgotten.

Not a melting pot, because elements aren't forgotten, but a mixture, because many are assimilated. If you think Europeans have no culture, go to Europe. You will see *very* distinct cultural customs, ideas, attitudes, lingo/phrasology, etc. France != Germany.

You're right, because we didn't invent Nachos Bellgrandes or get crunk in the club, white people serve basically no purpose in the world. Communism, catholicism, electricity, country music, punk, metal, techno, the animal rights movement, the "cultural appreciation" movement (a Western Idea/Invention), liberalism, the Renaissance, the internet, the car, quantum physics, all useless, sidenotes against the dizzying cultural signifance of the Nachos Bellgrande.

I agree. I think that can go for white, black, hispanic, asian, etc as far as grouping people together on the basis of skin color. Good points.

LOL @ France != Germany!! That's true, but when people are grouped based on skin color, it's more like white==white.
