I haven't been into spoken word since I heard this line and me and my boy L-Train pretty much walked right the fuck out: "I walk on the moon but I don't moon walk//I am hella gay, but I don't suck cock" - GET THE FUCK OUTTA HERE!!!!!!!!!! I look at my dood and was like "yo we at the wrong venue". This was years ago, probably a good 7 years ago, but still is hilarious everytime I think about it.

I don't mind spoken word aslong as it's not some fucking gay shit like Mo-X clearly has stated can happen.

But, check out the movie Piñero if your still interested in something deep with spoken word.

"(Miguel) Piñero (1946-1988) tells the story of the explosive life of a Latino icon, the poet-playwright-actor Miguel Piñero, whose urban poetry is recognized as a pre-cursor to rap and hip-hop. After doing time in hard-core Sing-Sing for petty thefts and drug dealing, Piñero's prison experiences developed into the 1974 Tony-nominated play Short Eyes. The resulting notoriety and fame was too much for the Latino bad-boy genius who retreated to the darker corners of New York City."
