here's some pics. they call em surf perch. they swim through the waves and eat sand crabs basically, among other things. so this is what swims with you while you surf / body board or just take a dip. a lil on the small side this time around. but between 3 of us we got 27 the limit is 10 each person. good for soup and pretty good fried.

yea i've had them many times i live by the beach so this is basically what we catch off the shore.

clean meat. soup is always good. as for frying you gotta hella deep fry them though cause the meats not as firm as other fish. clean white meat basically.

Naw sheep head are Big! My dad used to catch a gang of them when I was a kid.

this is a sheephead..

bought this last year it's a female. to get them you either got to take a boat, go to the harbor and buy them or do what my dad did and catch them off the rocks. he used to work on an island for 2 to 3 months off and on during the year i forget.

here's one pic of the recipe we make. it's onions, tomatoes, lemon juice, soy sauce and salt and pepper.
