Hip Hop and rap needs more real artist and less trendy rappers... All things in entertainment sports, movies and music are suffering from an overall lack of talent... There is far too much business invloved in the arts these days... Instead of just trying to appeal to a certain market, they need to be trying to create a market... Not everyone wants to hear abotu how fools are ballin and slangin big dope, because everyone can't relate to that sh*t... Muthafucka need to rap about some police brutality, high gas prices, faulty ass employers and overall doing bad and trying to come up in a positive way... On top of that everybody wants to be a rapper these days...that['s somebullsh*t... Firefighters getting in trouble over rapping, police man, basketball players, football players and baseball players and actors want to rap, get the fuck out of here with that bullshit...So many rappers suck these days but are made to look like they are ballin and shining where now everyone thinks they could rap... Muthafuckas need to go back a listen to some tupac prior to all these 2000 and after releases and see what real rapping is all about...
For example " This is why I'm hot"-- "throw some D's on it"-- " Back then they didn't want me now I'm hot they all on me"-- If I was a label head I would beat the sh*t out of my A&R for bringing half these garbage rappers in my office...

That is actually a pretty good song. Its a real topic. Underground rappers and political rappers dont have good beats like they used to. Who really wants to bump lyrics. Might as well buy the accapella.

And i'm glad the record sales are going to shit. Rappin about D-boying and killing people shouldnt be selling anyway. But....they got the hardest beats though.

hey maybe the low sales of rap albums will weed out muthafucas that do it jus for the money and keep dudes in that do it for the love of music...

I mean I know it sucks to not be selling millions of cds but these numbers will show that selling out to majors is not the hot thing to do anymore...even if you get on the major you aint gonn sell that much and with the dividing of the profits, you are not gonna be left with shit at end.

so since you are prolly not gonna sell that much on a major, stay true to yoruself, be independent, rap about wat YOU want to rap about, have TRUE fans that appreciate music and are not buying it because everybody else is or they seen you on tv or heard the radio plays you 50 times a day....
