I hope this decline continues. That way these rappers will realize that they can't put out bullshit and expect it to sell because of they name or who they clicked up with.

It aint about quality...Its about people downloading their music....The only reason those guys have to put out as much material as they do is so theres something new for the few people that DO pay for albums. Its like if they cut your hourly wage in half, you would have to work twice as hard to pay the bills. You can cry all you want that the quality of music has gone down, but I remember back in the days when you were lucky if you got an album, a soundtrack song that WASNT on the album and maybe a feature verse on an album from your favorite rapper. These days if your a game, jeezy or 50 fan you have as many new songs in a year as I got from Eazy-E in his entire career. Yeah the majority of the mixtapes and stuff are thrown together and could never compare to classic NWA albums, but I would have loved to have had the amount of material from NWA and Eazy E that people get today.

I feel you... But downloading cant be the only reason why sales are down... I think that thats a major reason, but I have to agree that the quality of music being put out is affecting the overall interest in Hip Hop music... I hear more and more people saying that they dont even listen to rap anymore... The radios are all infected with the same OLE' bullshit... and people get turned off and start looking into other genres... People are so desperate to hear something new...

real talk mayne.....and same wit Young Noiz

muzik nowadays peeps are tryring to find a new type of muzik, but muzik downloading and muzik quality are contributions of the rapid decline in muzik sales....by previewing an album befo u buy it can help u on your decision whether to buy it, or by downlaoding the song and having it, why go buy the album

also like to add, it's not like these artists are going broke, their album sales maybe down but that only means they're not as rich as before but still RICH. artists can't rely on album sales alone anyways, gotta do shows, mechandise and other mediums to get money. can't have all your eggs in one basket.
I heard that...
