ive never been a big fan of r and b music so this might have always been true...but every new r&b song or artist that comes out sounds more and more like some commercial hip hop type of shit...you got a shitload of r&b artists putting out albums, talking that hip hop lingo, collabing with the latest mtv rapper...that shit gets annoying...and what the fuck...singers like ashanti cant put out a new song without a gaffled beat...damn near half the songs ive heard from ashanti have some old school beat to them...cant ppl be a little more original...then i heard this version of in da club by beyonce...bitch singing about diamonds gucci this gucci that...lmao...if thats not some hip hop dope rapping about his gold i dont know what is...

am i tripping, i remember real r&b mofos like keith sweat putting it down...now r&b is just like mtv raps...their longevity aint much...whatever happend to boyz2men?...whatever happened to that group singing about "somebodys sleeping in my bed..."?...before that nitwit became dragon boy or whatever?...if you ask me...r&b aint that much different than the commercial rap they got on tv nowadays...it seems they put together some catchy beat sampled song , lay about 3 different lines and a chorus plus some video with jewels and cars and crews hanging at the club, and throw it out for the masses to gobble up then play itself out the second week its out.

shit is a fucking disgrace if you ask me...nothing but bullshit coming out the radio and out of these "r&b artists" mouths.

yeah i agree with askG, rnb singers got that hip hop shit in them now dayz. It use to be some of that slow jam real rnb shit like usher, druhill, keith sweat, jodeci and more. R. kelly still doin' his thangs but got that hip hop shit too...

r kelly is the blueprint of a rnb wannabe rapper...he went from bump and grind shit to some wannabe thug crystal popping boat having duet singer with fat joe typa rnb...he paved the way for rnbers like ashanti hollering murder and being labeled a hip hop princess or some shit...lol...fucking stupid...rnb is going the way of the dinosaur...when is the last time you heard some real rnb on tv or the radio?...with original beats and lyrics...mary j blige is one of the few maybe?
