I always used to hear old people talk about "kids these days" and things like that and now that i am getting older i am seeing why this is said. Kids have less respect then ever for older people, even people my age which are still quite young. This could be a personal respect but i feel as though it can apply to anyone who has much more life experiance then somone who is much younger. I would respect people with more knowledge and who were older then me because of their experiance. I would never talk shit or act totally disrespectful to somone who was twice my age that could beat my ass if i acted like a fool. But nowa days these little shits run their mouths off like nobodies business and have no repsect at all for older generations. Its something that gets worse and worse and generations go by, and its something that evolves so quickly that even in my lifetime i have seen it happen. Whats the solution to this kind of thing? whats to blame? I believe if you want to place a partial blame it could be the type of society we are shaped into today, the media, the movies, the lifestyle of kids these days. The average age of kids having sex these days is 13 years old, pretty fucked up. Drug use is happening even earlier and kids these days while i try not to generalize are not concerned with past events and live only by things they have experianced. Either way its really obvious to see that kids these days lack even more respect then ever towards elders.
I agree with you, but to answer your quote in bold I would have to say it starts at home. Yes society and area and friends play a role but it all comes back to the home life and the attention and morals that kid is brought up with.

Sounds like there's a lot of shitty parents out there then. Cause they have the ultimate control over how their kid is shaped the first 3-5 years of that kids life.

Most parents don't think twice about letting their kids watch Nickelodeon...but I watched it with my boy and his son...they have cartoons with kids stealing shit and not getting in trouble, and just doing hella disrespectful shit with no consequences...people need to be more conscience about what they allow their children to view, hear, and experience. It has a huge effect and people don't realize this. His son is already talking about killing people and how in movies when people get their heads blown off it's, "very funny."

I think too many parents genderize their kids and let them be one sided rather than trying to make them well balanced human beings that have a wide variety of talents and interests. Instead we end up with retarded Thizz faggots going dumb and falling off their cars or wrecking into shit....obviously it's not just them, but in general, kids have no respect and the education they receive is a JOKE...most of the shit i've learned, i've taught myself or researched myself...cause the shit we "learn" in school is 90% bullshit. School is really just there to teach us how to be on time, get our shit done, critical thinking skills, bullshit that works in the work force....cause that's ultimately what this system wants and more importantly, needs...more workers.

I dont think a lot of the younger generations respect their elders because they feel betrayed.

All we hear is stories of the good old days when grandparents etc were rewarded for their hard work, when you could trust people and didnt have to lock your doors, when you felt safe and could walk around carefree.

Fast forward, i was born near the end of the cold war. None of that really exists anymore. Now its trust fund babies, watch you back around everyone, and frankly we dont know when the next fool is gonna start shooting or when the next train is gonna blow up, we have no faith in the government, and nuclear holocaust is around the corner. We could die at any moment, and its been like that since the day i was born. Respect is never owed unless its earned...

I think to be honest each generation gets worse because the people are having kids at a younger and younger age and they dont have enough sense so they are just letting there kids run buckwild and it all comes back to haunt them in the end. My lil brother is a case of that sadly enough my mom died when I was 16 and my lil brother was 4 because of aids and his dad really dont step in too much to tell him hes fucking up and im way out in the northwest but I try and do my best to let him know what I think. but yeah shit has changed though they dont whip a kids ass anymore not cuz they dont want to but because they are scared of being locked up

A lot of kids are not given respect. The cliche saying that, when your younger you think you know everythign right? Well its the same damn thing. If kids think they know everything, and adults give rules and prejudge about how mature they are, the kids are not giving respect to adults who have no reasons for their rules. Heresy, your act in that situation with the kids and adults, is something i rarely hear of. I believe that the younger people have much more predominant interaction with asshole adults that are very different than you. Kids then take that as a generalization.

For myself, ill give any person, regardless of age, politeness and respect. To me i have interpreted two types of adults. The ones who accept teens as capable of being adults and the ones the don't. I will flat out be a direct asshole to that person and embarass them for being the prejudgmental. They are not treating me as the person i am. The way i interact with other people is what i have learned from my father and just a natural attribute of mine. Why in the fuck do you wanna be an asshole and not give respect? I take pride in what i am associated with, if im related to be an asshole, i will not want to act like that. Thats why in my life, there are about 7 or 8 compliments that stick out in my mind. Ive been told by people, that seem to be veryy similar to Heresy, which is a compliment, that i act like a 30 year old adult. Those are the comments I strive for. I have a situation that is applies directly to this situation, but it would take some time. If anyone cares to hear, show some RESPECT  and just say so, ill take the time to type it out!

Kids forget that older folx have been there before, literally, it seems so cliche but is so true at the same time. Kids have a lot to learn from adults, but broken house holds and drugs have poisoned a lot of these kid's minds and led them into obscurity, lost and confused, their principles are for the most part arbitrary and guided by the streets and life experiences. We simply need more village Griots like heresy who can actually step in and play their part, we need at least one Griot for every neighborhood, and actually everyone should pitch in to help take care of the village. It would be a lot easier to deal with these youth if people were more patient with them..
Right but on the other hand, someone can tell you life experience all day....But sometimes we just need to go through it ourselves....Im 27 and the young cats coming up right now we cant blame them....look at the T.V. look what they portray to them as in style, what to be like in order to be accepted and so on......This hyphy movement is put out thier by damn near 40 year olds like E-40 and Mac Dre RIP....now alot of youngsters run around thizzin with dreads goin crazy cuz thats whats in style....Sure you have a mind of your own but DAMN....

Look at our grandparents most of them are still together or did the death till we part.........Our parents most of them are divorced......us right now we dont even get married anymore, we just have kids and raise them mostly in a one parent household......I conversate with my Grandma about this shit alot and she cant belive whats going on in the world from politics to shit that happens on a daily basis....

and as far as whoopin kids , i have kids and feel they should be spanked, i was spanked i turned out coo...but im sure that thier were kids who were spanked who still didnt turn out right and vice versa..

And about the respect our elders thing.....alot of our elders didnt respect us ,like how many in this post are saying that the youth is wild now and dont give a shit.....so why should we respect them if they dont respect us.....?

LMAO!

So your unvaccinated polio boy is gonna have some pink ribbons hangin off his little kid rascal driving to school and shit. Man, what a shame that is, people raising boys to have boy interests and vice versa. I also think giving kids traditional names is fucked up too. My little Raspberry MarryTree Happiness is going to his first day of school today, and I hope he makes lots of friends.

Instead we end up with retarded Thizz faggots going dumb and falling off their cars or wrecking into shit....
Hey I know you! I went to school with you! You're Obsessed Mr. Onetopic Faggot...is it really you?

Yes it is, HI!

"What do you think about Rubber tires?"

"Rubber tires are cool, except when these THIZZ GO DUMB IDIOTS from the BAY (which sucks by the way Seattle is way better, Trader Joes man) jump on top of a car."

"How do you feel about vacations?"

"I like vacations, except when those GOLD GRILLED HYPHY FAGS FROM THE BAY jump on a street light I wrote an Interpretive Dance about it in my Junior College and the whole class loved it"

"What is your name?"

"Todd, by the way THE BAY IS GAY and hyphy is so retarded. Seattle is so much better. Kids these days have no respect I made a Clay Diorama of the hyphy movement in my Clay Creations class at Adult School and everyone totally agreed that my Auburn painted and fired clay hyphy man was ridiculous looking"

cause that's ultimately what this system wants and more importantly, needs...more workers.
Youre right! The system is just churning us out to be workers! What a bunch of bullshit. You go to many other countries such as Lesotho, Namibia, or Bali, and there are NO workers!

The system there teaches people one of three jobs: Critical Thinker and Coffee Shop Arguer, Finger Painter, and Milk Drinker.

You should see the French economy. It's run by Pixie Sticks and Sanitary wipes. No one works at all. In fact the French educational program teaches one to be fashionable and non-genderized above all else.

French economic indicators are the Sugar content in milligrams and hand germ content in microbes. When you hear something like "The market hit 150 million microbes today", you know the French are riding high.
