get a job and save your money, its a long expensive road!!!! so do the best job you can with what you have. talent will speak for itself, regardless of the quality, as long as its the best you can honestly do with what you have.

you probaly need some kind of multi-track recording system. Pro tools(mac), logic audio(pc), adat(MDM).If u use a computer multi-track then u need an interface card for ur computer.and if u use a MDM then u need a mixer. I use adat in my studio along with a midi sequencer (mastertracks pro) that is connected to a Mo PHatt sound moudule and a alesis studio 24 mixer. THe adat and mixer will run u about $600 on ebay. We recorded SYN's album with this setup and it sounds quite good.

^ promotion ain't that hard if its a demo and doesn't cost much/nothing, organise a street team to promote it, hand them out at clubs... allways have cds on you to give out.. etc

if your serious about the demo , then you better get in a real studio .... and have everything done in your mind, have everything rdy so you don't waste time and money.

pz

good luck.

I KNOW CATS WHO CHARGE $25 AN HOUR AND THEY DONT KNOW WHAT THE HELL THEY ARE DOING. THEN I KNOW CATS LIKE ME WHO KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING BUT CHARGE LITTLE OR NOTHING (I KNOW LONGER OPEN MY DOORS TO THE PUBLIC).

WHAT I DO IS PRE PRODUCTION AND TAKE EVERYTHING TO A BIGGER STUDIO. I WAS PAYING $50 AN HOUR AT SOUND FARM BUT NOW IM PAYING $65 AN HOUR AT THE CURRENT STUDIO I AM RECORDING IN. ITS WORTH IT BECAUSE I KNOW WHAT TYPE OF SOUND IM LOOKING FOR. I ALSO KNOW THE EQUIPEMENT THAT IS BEING USED.

MAKE SURE YOU BECOME FAMILIAR WITH DIFFERENT EQUIPMENT.
