somebody school me on emulators

i have no idea on how to work emulators. ive tried dl them but i can never
get it to work. do certain games only work with certain emulators because i can never get the game to start. ive been trying to get a nes one going but
i have no luck. :angry: someone please school me on this.

emulators arent that difficult, just run it, load a rom, and play. some roms work with certain emulators depending on the rom. like nes roms only work with nes emulators and snes roms work with snes emulators and so on.

for nintendo, emulator= nestopia http://www.bannister.org/software/nestopia.htm

for games, roms= http://www.edgeemu.com/ (gotta register first // roms are on the side menu)

for snes, emulator= http://www.zsnes.com/
roms= http://www.edgeemu.com/

i use romhustler.com..i got that from the other post some guy made about the n64 emulator.
