taken from "The Secret" by Rhonda Byrne

which quoted James Ray...

"Every Tradition has told you that you were created in the image and likeness of the creative source. That means that you have God Potential and power to create your world, and you are. Maybe you've created things to this point that are wonderful and worthy of you, and maybe you haven't. The question I'd ask you is to consider is 'Are the Results you have in your life what you really want? And are they worthy of you?' If they are not worthy of you, then wouldn't now be the right time to change those? Because you have the power to do that."

I'm at a point in my life where I can go two ways...the way I've been going...and another way...but there's always a part of me that doesn't want to change even as i get older...so tell me what you think of this and what it means to you when you read this quote.

Change is always hard. Its always easier and more comfortable to do what you've always done. But hey...thats what separates the great from the mediocore. Their ability to act on their convictions. Its the will to do what you know you have to do, inspite of everything. Thats the real secret to success; how can you fail if you never quit?

yes change is not easy, but very rewarding if you can.

I wanted to say as well, about those motivational speakers, we get the guy with the MASSIVE teeth, he's like a giant, white guy, on late night TV. He's from the US TONY ROBBINS just came to me lol. We also get alot of american televangelists spouting absolute CRAP at the same time. benny hinn, some old texas white broad and the list goes on. I do watch for about 10 seconds and laugh then change the channel.

What I want to know is, do the audience get paid to act like morons? heal me brother (he taps them on the head and they fall over) honestly they can't be that stupid can they?

if you are affected by advice from motivational speakers that become rich and happy by telling people how to be rich and happy, then you are on the bottom tier of a cash driven pyramid scheme. i dont hate james ray or the secret bitch, i hate my fellow humans because they eat this shit up. but because so many people actually think they benefit from this type of shit infers a few things...1)people lack motivation, fear change, and are ultimately slaves to themselves 2)exploit this and make money off of these peoples weaknesses and they will praise you.

i give you the benefit of the doubt, i think you are smarter than this. "im at the point where my life can go two ways...stay the same, or another way"....uhm yes, in fact your and everyone elses life is ALWAYS at that point, but better you realize this now than never. too short shits on this quote with one simple yet timeless phrase i learned as a child..."you should be gettin it"
amen..I agree, i feel these motivational speakers love to make money on the weak and desperate in need, also by using a ploy to believe in them formost because people are looking for something to believe in and find faith in instead of perhaps seeking faith within themselves..It's hard to find faith but don't ever stop trying for you..you must want change hard enough to materialize a change in your current status..and anyone can..if you fail..dust yourself off and go again at what you believe..stay strong within yourself..

i don't know i kinda believe in the quote to a certain extent but i am not one to play follow the leader so i don't need any motivational coaching or nothing like that. I do however know that the mind is a powerful thing and you can create the world around you so to speak cuz your actions and ways of thinking can bring you up or tear you down as well as those around you. Motivational speakers are doing something positive i cant hate if they make money off of it cuz not everyone is a leader and not everyone can lead themselves out of harms way some need guidance.

too many need guidance...I think it also relies on your environment..if you grow up around people who always put down what you say or your idea's then it becomes really hard for you to know what maybe the right call for what you want in life and sometimes event to step up to the plate and have that motivation...It can be hard for you to make your own judgement call and so you rely on these speakers that are not your normal everyday people around you because they want to hear what you have to say and give you strength to stand by what you believe in..Some people are born with just being able to go on their own and make things happen..and some need a push from the right person..i can say that the people that motivate me are'nt my family but rather business friends i have and also the books i read..I motivate myself when i feel like things are coming to the wire with projects i have or business i have..i just react..

also- a lot of these seminars that are out there are really just to push products to sell at higher prices then it costs to get into the flippin seminar..Me and one of my business friend's have gone to so many and event laugh at a lot of these..I get what information i need from the seminar and go research it for myself n find the same shit at barn's n nobles or on-line..yeah.
