I jump on the train here in Sac one day last April on my way to San Jose. I got a box of CDs with me, a walkman, and a pen with a note pad since alot of my shit is written right before I actually go record it. Anyway I see these two cats on the train. You know how it goes, they wondering who I am and what I'm about, and I'm lookin at them tryin to figure out the same shit. I guess thats a male thang, territorial. I noticed that they cell phones kept ringing and one of the cats was steady takin orders in and entering info in his palm pilot. A conversation soon struck up between the 3 of us, and they was tellin me how they manage a few rap groups, and they are clothing designers out of Richmond, and they do custom leathers and hats for artists that are going on tour and shit. I was asking how did yall get into that shit, and one of them was like "Well I used to dance for Digital Underground back in the day, and I just started meetin folks and makin them connects with people" Then his homie was like, "Yea, I be designin them hats with the rhinestones and shit on them, and doing up tour jackets for folks, I just did some work for some of the Bad Boy artists" Then he go on to tell me that he did hats for Tupac from back in the day. Cuzz popped out with this flick and shows me, cause he said usually muthafuckas be actin like they dont wanna be believin fools and shit. It was taken backstage at a show, my guess is around 1991-92 due to the cat wearing that X hat, and that belt that old boy is wearing with the blue pants. All that to tell yall, you never know who you will meet up with, networkin is the key to this shit. Now if any of you "gangsta rappers" want some jeweled out hats like big Willie style hit these fools up...:classic: HA HA HA
