i am watching "all eyes on 50 cent" on MTV right now...and everything that comes out of his mouth comes off as self-endulged,disrespectful,and ignorant...he has no respect for anybody or anything but making money, everything comes down to record sales with him. he compared himself to jada as how many records he has sold "he aint shit,he sold 1.5 million" so that makes you a better person?...all he cares about is how many units he pushes, doesnt give a shit about anything but himself

so what makes you want to support these artists? and not so much as buying an album, but actually feeling the need to defend them in a manner where you yourself get angry at other ppl for "hating" on them...they could care less about you,so why should you feel the need to defend them? they care just as much about ppl hating them as they do ppl loving them,as long as they have record sales it doesnt matter

just odd to me to see ppl defending artists, wether that be 50 cent or yukmouth when they have never met that person or have no connection to them at all, really dont see the point in it...cause for the most part if you met that person in real life they would diss you to your face (for the most part)..unless they are a direct family member or your best friend, somebody elses opinion really shouldnt mean that much to you

anyway, just trying to get on insight on why you support certain artists and even more so,feel the need to defend them...and even if i dont get any feedback just hope to change the ways of this new age of the sensitivness.net

Bitching and bickering is just a part of internet forum boards and thats just par for the course. I dont think supporting or defending certain artists or individuals on here is a huge factor in peoples real lives.

Personally i dont need to be respected by a certain artist that i choose to listen to, why do i care if they respect me?, they will never know me, its irrelevent to the entertainment i get from the music

50 Cent is another thing all together, the publicity he is getting for his new record is unbelievable, like it or not money is a major factor in how the music industry works at all levels. I'd say 95% of all underground artists would love to be where 50, Eminem, Jay-Z is, nobody is tryin to be broke

i agree...90% of rappers that i have met that i liked have turned out to be dicks...doesnt mean i am going to stop listening to them, but at the same time you wont find me online callin ppl out cause they dont like them either...that why i want to hear from a person that feels the need to do so,not that it effects me in real life, just out of sheer curiousity

"50 IS A REAL GANGSTERTAINER"
yeah it is my new definition of 50 cent
It means that the question is Why 50 would not deserve what happens to him?

On one hand, the way 50 cent talks about others rappers is disrespectful i agree and his state of mind is really pityful :estimating the skillz of a rapper with the number of copy he has sold is too simple but what i can't stand is when he is playing the 50 cent character it is part of his business some people buy his shit only because he looks like he is still a gangster some people are like :
"man!50 got guns and wears a bulletproof vest, he must be a real don! i want his album he is dissing everybody !!!"

On the other hand many people know that 50 is "half man half character" he is from the streets but now he is an entertainer and a business man who knows what sells and what doesn't.
But unfortunatly for the haters he got a great flow that is highly addictive and he is supposed to work with the most famous producer.
"Soon or later we'll all see who the prophet is."

Hail to the realest don!

well all the artists I have had the pleasure of meetinG have been real cool to me, so i Guess i'm lucky

on the topic of 50 Cent tho...
the weirdest thinG about his whole deal is that about a year aGo he was in the bay Gettin ready for a show or somethin, and he stayed at a hotel in the city where my dad works. I hit my dad up to see how he was doin and he told me he met this cool ass cat in the lounGe area, and the guys name was Curtis. So him and my dad Got to talkin and Curtis bouGht my dad a couple drinks while they were choppin and they Got to talkin about what they did for a livin. My dad said he worked in the hotel and Curtis said he was a rapper. The funny thinG is, my dad had no idea who he was and just told me about a Guy named Curtis who rapped and had all the blinG on and all that shit. Then i threw the name 50 Cent out there, and my dad said that's who the Guy was. But to my pops, he was a real cool Guy, maybe cuz he didn't know who he was and just played it like that.
