finally got my order from access, here is what i got...
$martyrs (2mex and liferexall) Money Symbol Martyrs
picked up this album just based on being a fan of 2mex and shapeshifters, so didnt know what to expect. to my surprise i am glad i picked it up,a very solid album. has features from busdriver and other shapeshifters like akuma
. the production was mostly handled by liferexall which also concerned me at first, had never heard much from him from a production standpoint, but he pulled it off. also enjoy the content which you could probably guess what its about judging by the title. about how people rap just for money and how it shouldnt matter and so on. my backpackin ass always likes to hear things like that, haha
soul position (RJD2 and blueprint)-things go better with RJ and Al
as big of fan as i am of RJD2 have never really been into blueprint. he has always been hit or miss for me therefore their first release "8 million stories" was the same for me. some tracks that were dope as fuck followed by 2 or 3 that i wasnt feeling. that isnt the case for this release, dont know what it is,but i am really feeling blueprint on this one. seemed like he slowed down his flow and really has more consistency to his ryhmes, they arent all over the place. as far as RJD2's production...well,not much needs to be said, already knew he would come through and honestly even he stepped his game up,some of his better work on this album. showed more range in my opinion and gave this album some non-rjd2 sounding beats if that makes sense. one of the better albums i have heard this year.
scarub-one for the road
i buy everything the legends put out so this album was a must for my collection.was afraid this album was going to be a lot of remixes and live shit that i had heard already but to my suprise it was all new material. havent had much time to listen to this due to the others i picked up but from the 3 times i went through the whole album i was feeling it. got that new perspective sound with dope original flow over his crazy ass beats. would definity pick it up if you are a fan of scarub. lots of dope new material
aceyalone-grand imperial
will get back to this, just got to it today...i can tell you #2 is dope, thats about all i know right now, haha
