I'm looking for software to transfer music from my iphone4 to my mac and also convert movies from avi to mp4 so i can load them into itunes. Anyone have any suggestions? And yes, i've used the google, and looked around on the mac forums, but I know there are some fairly savvy Mac users here (emma) and I was hoping you could shed some insight.

PS. I already tried sand and it didnt work.

After some investigating, I found this.

http://download.cnet.com/expod/3000-18545_4-100662.html?tag=mncol;pop

its called expod and it lets you export a copy of the music on your iphone/pod/pad to a blank folder on your hard drive. itunes will then import it if you use the 'add to library' option. One warning is that the default way it titled my music is slightly off, and the playlists dont transfer so you have to remake them. Thats still a shitload better than loosing 25 gigs of music though.

Good looking out, both of those will work for converting existing media to formats itunes will read, but I dont think either of them will let me rip music off my iphone and add it to itunes, will it? I klled my last laptop, bought a new one and am trying to save my music.
I just realized you have a mac. X out media monkey and give this program a shot.
