Soda machine hack?

My friend sent me this link about hacking soda machines.

I wonder if this shit works? In the video its giving him numbers for the menu and not words so I'm confused because it contradicts what the instructions say should happen.

i done it at work with the machines they show on that i-hack page and its lame....it dosent do anything..

I did it at Circuit City couple of months ago, all it gave me was the numbers 5544.

doesn't it let you change the price? why not change it to a nickel, quarter or dime? I think it'll only work on certain machines where they didn't change the code....but I guess once you mess with it you should either change it back or prepare to have someone else change the password soon
