I don't listen to the radio too much , so I couldn't give you a straight up answer but the only bay area music I hear is all pre-2000 bay, like Spice 1 and Too Short and Sac rappers like Lynch and C-Bo, other than that I'm not into the hyphy fad. I don't hear too many people(actually closer to none), at least in my area, bumping any new bay rap. Don't call me a hater either that's just how it is.

The Bay gets play I was up in Decos a while back and Billie Knight dropped in Keaks Super Hyphy, Up in Red Circle Cafe back in February this cat dropped Keak, Mac Dre and E40. Its defintitley makin more moves in terms of gettin play in clubs, but the music is geared to partyin and shit. When one of them songs comes on, if you know, you gettin into it. I live in Dago and aint no reason I cant get Hyphy or whatever when some bay music comes on. Its Cali music to me. Id rather be listenin to, than tha same ole commericial shit. And When I DJ of course Im droppin some bay shit. Droppin some dago shit too. But dependin on the venue, most peoplle when they go out is lookin to have a good time and party. A crowd is more likely to respond to E-40 Tell me when to Go than to E-40- Money Scheme, when it comes to club/party situation although money scheme can also be played and the have the crowd goin nuts. Same when I play dago music, some folks are gonna be like what the hell, while few folks is gonna be like hell yeah. the bay area has always had love in so cal since day one. i live in SD and have been to LA and they all bump bay area, old and new. the girls get down with that hyphy shit in TJ, too. the fools just follow the girls and act like they know what that bay like but that's just young heads chasing pussy. but musically you would love so cal because in reality, no matter what anyone says about the bay, it's still west coast and we all bump that shit.
