the guys that are thinkin that Clyde is just gonna come in and take shit over are very mistaken. its tougher than ever to break. clyde would be smart to put out another indy project. he's not at the major label level yet...... and I don't mean talent wise....

now a days you only need to be on a major only when you really need to be there. he needs a good feature or to write a hit for someone or something that gets his name out there as a HITMAKER. bay and industry buzz alone will not break you in the current market!!! if he had showed that thus far he would have got Kingston cleared. what would be the upside for Kingston on that project?

a hit song cures alot of probs. clyde needs to deliver one. and don't say the sean kingston song, because a REAL hit will work no matter who sings the hook. of course all of this is IMO. but it looks pretty obvious to me

Major labels are dying when it comes to rap....can anyone other than Jay-Z, 50 Cent, and Kanye even go platinum anymore? Maybe Eminem and Dr. Dre.

I think Bay Area rappers should say fuck the majors and stick with that independent money. The Pack couldn't even sell 5k their first week. They didn't get much radio play other than Vans which came out like a year before the album. Mann, I say all the Bay rappers should just sign to SMC.
