they're probably waiting for e-40's new album to drop first so they can ride his "hyphy train"

he's on a major but he's not an anticipated artist outside of the bay so the label is not really trippin of him.....plus his single was fucked, they should've rode that wave of publicity (bad publicity is still publicity) and released the album back then with another single.

That is "EXACTLY" how it works. The Major Labels will use E-40's new album to test the waters in the Bay Area. They will see how his first week does, how his BDS spins are and in what regions/markets, how his ringtones do, how his downloads do, how Video Channels accept his project. They will take all that information and use it as a bench mark when releasing Mistah F.A.B's cd, Clyde Carsons cd and Ect. Alot really does always ride on E-40 and the success of his projects. Major Labels are bandwagon companies. If E-40 is a success in "multi" regions then they will see the Bay Area as a cash-cow. They will come and "try" to pimp the Artists out here.
