Haven't confirmed this yet, but I was told earlier they were released for roughing up a referee at a house show and then taking his belt to get the crowd to "auction" on it.

This makes me cry... one of the better reasons to tune into Raw. If they pop up in TNA, I might actually start watching. :\

they were unbelievably over for a team that seeminly never won a match... Stupid, stupid release.. Let's push Cade and Murdoch or the 50s team.. The teams nobody care about.

So let me get this right... They got released because they roughed up a ref after the match and they tried to sell his belt. Was the ref not in on this? Seems like a petty reason to release one of your most over teams. Sounds like there's more to this story than meets the eye....

They put themselves over real well i dont know why they dropped them. the Smaller dude JTG actually had some in ring ability too Big Chad was entertaining. I bet they will come back someday, being let go by vince wont mean the end of the line for those guys

Here is the latest

- WWE released Cryme Tyme because of a backstage disagreement after the finish of the match with Cade & Murdoch the other night went wrong. The match in question ended in a countout on JTG. Reports say the match was shorter than usual. The finish of their bout saw an odd countout finish although JTG had made it back to the ring, followed by Cryme Time attacking the referee of the bout and removing his belt for "auction" to the audience.

The reasoning still sounds a little fishy, almost sounds like a work... though it's highly unlikely. I'm sure there was different reason and people are simply pointing to this incident because they don't know what's really up.

I heard that Cryme Tyme had heat with Cade and Murdoch. C/M arranged a rib on CT where they did a fast count. CT was pissed, and safely did their finisher to the ref, and threw his belt into the crowd. They got into a fight backstage, and Vince being already stressed out from the suspensions, fired CT.

The Real Reason Why Cryme Tyme Was Fired

There's a very interesting story behind Cryme Tyme's release from WWE. Backstage, there has been heat between Cryme Tyme and Cade & Murdoch for several weeks. During an altercation at a house show this weekend, Shad from Crime Tyme said to Trevor Murdock, "Whatever happens out there happens". This was seen as a direct threat and Murdoch addressed Shad's threat in front of the rest of the locker room.

Cade & Murdoch decided to pull a rib on Cryme Tyme involving the referee of their match that night and a major swerve. There was a spot in the match where JTG gets bumped out of the ring and gets back in right before getting counted out. The swerve was that the ref was going to count very fast at the end and disqualify Cryme Tyme -- without them knowing the real finish to the match. After it went down, Cryme Tyme was shocked -- but immediately gave the referee their finishing maneuver - took off his belt and auctioned it off in the crowd!

Although the referee was protected during the move and they stayed in character by auctioning off his belt, Cryme Tyme still performed their finisher on somebody who did not expect it or was trained to take it and were seen as the real "bad guys" of the whole situation. They were released after the show.
