man, I really appreciate the kind words from everyone. Good looking out from everyone.

I'll be getting my masters in Business Administration, MBA for short. My concentration will be Finance. I am hoping to get into Investment Banking, although thats a long shot. I would be extremely happy with Commercial Banking. And if the Banking Industry is still in the tank by the time I am getting out, I can look at Corporate Finance.
wow, that would be like hell to me.
lol. i hate fuckin dealin w/ pompous assholes, and i think a lot of people in that industry are probably exactly that.

but good luck, its obviously something you enjoy, since your goin back to school for it n everything.

I want to either be an administrator working in college athletics or a high school principal....

What do you want to do? Are you currently pursuing your degree now or you want to one day?

Im in the same boat except Im an old man...If you go full time which is two classes at a time you will receive about $1100 a month. You can also apply for a stafford loan as I did and either bank the 1100 for an emergency or hold it until you graduate..which is when you start paying the loan and use that to keep you a float until ya get situated..The way the school works is you have 1 or 2 classes for each block and each block is 9 weeks..roughly two months...It aint cheap but It is the best chance fror me to stick with it as..Im older and work hard somedays and would not feel like going..besides cost there are only a few little complaints but so far I completed 8 classes and its working for me..

yea, the program I am in at UOP is only 18 months. they do that by just cramming a shit load of units into that time. the first semester they call "boot camp", you go through like 22 units or some shit like that.

good shit man, congrats.

$38,000 is a good amount for school. That will cover pretty much any state school, and be a good chunk towards private school.

I am looking at $50,000 for tutition, books and fees.

If anyone knows anything about calgrants, or getting free money towards it, SCREAM at me!

good shit man, keep up the good work...

I never really got a job in the field I studied for when I for my Associate Degree in graphic and web design.. BUT

that same knowledge.. helped me build my online empire.. and get noticed online for publishing work. Now I get job offers left and right, because of my experience.. and expertise.

So yes KNOWLEDGE is power.. But remember you don't always have to use your knowledge to work for someone else...

i learned early in life.. that you can't beg or look for jobs...

you have to TAKE what you want in life.. which is what I did.

Being self emplyed.. and having my own bidnezz.. is the best thing I could have done.

Keep up the good work.. !

Right now I want to go back to school.. and take some classes.. in video production.. and recording music in the studio.. there's money in that.

Good shit Greg. I recall you went to CSU Stanislaus and got your degree in management. I remember because I can relate. I went to a CSU as well and got my degree in management too. You also said you made 50k after your first year of college as an underwriter, the way the real estate market's been going right now it must've helped your decision. I want to get my MBA too, getting my bachelor's wasn't regarded as high as I imagined it now that I'm in the corporate world.

As soon as I saw you were going to get the MBA in finance I immediately thought of investment banker. Good luck! That's real money right there.

good memory Smeezy.....correct me if I am wrong, San Jose St. for you, right? Yea, you aint lying about the bachelors not being regarded as high as I thought it would. I mustve been turned down on 3 tight ass jobs that I wanted before I went into Underwriting. It is really tough to get where you want in Business with an undergrad thats not from a top school. Your basically looked at like you barely made it out of high school. That has been my experience so far. In the end, I was just fed up, working at a job I hated, and not making that much scratch. So the decision came kind of easy for me. Not to mention the Economy being in the dumps right now, I am hoping its on the up and up when I get out.

Thanks for the well wishes man. I would love to get into Investment Banking - but I would have to get pretty damn lucky to break into that Industry.

It seems like more and more degrees are starting to get to a point where a bachelors doesn't mean much. I have been applying to jobs since I graduate this semester and a lot of the structural engineering companies won't even look at your resume unless you have a masters. I really didn't expect that with a Civil Engineering degree since my emphasis is in structural but I guess that there is a lot to be learned in the masters program. Congratulations and good luck.
