its a small spot but the food is the bomb i felt the same way at 1st but i dont eat the chicken and waffles i get the red beans and rice/ corn bread with the largest cup of pink lemonade in the building lol

they serve chicken & waffles at Merritt's bakery in Oakland.....there's also a Roscoe's in Jack London Square, but I don't think its the same.....I haven't been there tho.....but Merritt's is coo

Ever go to the Hardnox restaurant in the Sco? Its close to portero hill right off 3rd street. Best soulfood I've had in a long time and they got a bar with their own microbrew. Two thumbs up ya know! Was about to buy their t-shirt and rep it to the fullest.

Roscoes is real tasty don't get me wrong, but on a whole its slightly above average on the restaurant scale.
