After many years and many hits, Snoop Dogg and long time recording company Interscope/Geffen Records have parted ways, according to Chronic Vacation.

As of press time, no details were available on the split
Founded by Jimmy Iovine in 1990, Snoop Dogg immediately became one of the major players at the label through his affiliation with Death Row Records. The first major release from the pairing was The Chronic from Dr. Dre, whose lead single, the Snoop Dogg assisted “Ain’t Nothin But A G Thang” helped propel the album to multiplatinum status.

Snoop Dogg’s own debut album, 1993’s Doggystyle followed in The Chronic’s footsteps and was certified quadruple platinum by the RIAA.
In 1998, Snoop Dogg parted ways with Death Row/Interscope and Snoop spent the ensuing years with Master P’s No Limit Records and later hit the independent circuit, releasing mix tapes and albums with long time collaborators, Tha Dogg Pound.

The new millennium saw the Dogg return to Interscope under Geffen Records where he released three albums.

There is no word on what Snoop’s next move will be, but reliable sources say the split will lead to bigger and better things for the Dogg Father.

BASICALLY I DONT CARE WHAT AN OLD MAN DOES
So u care what a young man does but not an old man....Maybe I'm taking what ur saying out of context and I know we're all off topic but like I said a trick is a trick no matter the age so from what u said in ur other post its okay for a old head to buy pussy but a young guy is looked down upon.....But I guess it don't matter I just don't get what ur saying.

it had the star trek logo on it too. Pharell's star trek was the label and geffen/interscope was the distributor of that album.

No where in here did anyone say it wasnt a official geffen release. You said Snoop was never on star trek so i was just correcting you.
He was never SIGNED to Star Trak...he was SIGNED to Geffen. You don't have to be signed to a label to put out an album with him. In the R&G case, instead of Pharell getting most of the money up front for tracks, the deal was that he would put his label imprint on the album and get more points off the album. The only time Snoop ever considered signing to Star Trak was before and during the Capitol situation. I was working at Capitol at the time and the Paid the Cost to Be the Boss album was one of my projects there, so I know that the negotiations started, but nothing ever happened.
