can you someone tell me how you tell if its the OG or not? cuz i thought i had the OG but it doesn't have the song "The Next Episode". i heard the OG has 19 songs, and mine does, but it doesn't have the song "The Next Episode".

The next episode was on the first pressing of the cassette version. I have it, my version is so distorted that it's not listenable. I don't think it ever made it to cd.

and thanks for the info MrSmurf. someone knows what i'm talkin about. i wasn't talkin about "The Next Episode" off Dr. Dre's "2001" cd. i have the cd and it has the song G'z Up Hoes Down, and it has the song "The Next Episode" listed on the tracklist but doesn't actually have the song.

so does that mean the real OG 1st pressing was only released on tape?

It was listed on both the cassette & CD 1st pressing. The second pressing it was left off due to sample clearances. It WAS on the 1st pressing of the cassette version. That is when record company's were adding Bonus Tracks on the cassette version of albums i.e. Above The Rim. The first two releases off Death Row were so poorly put together, I'm surprised that they got to where they did. The song is out there if you look. I have not found a good quality version of it anywhere. I think I have it on another computer, if you would like I can upload it sometime this week if I find it.

This is right. I bought my copy the first day it was released. It says tha next episode on the back , but was never put on the cd.

The Next Episode was not on the first pressing of the cassette, it was only listed on the back cover. G's Up Hoes Down was on the first pressing though.

Does anyone actually have The OG Next Episode??? I used to have it but lost it when my comp crashed a few years ago...

whoever has the song, PLEASE UPLOAD IT, it will never get released becasue of the sample used and I have never heard it

and I think the OG (with the last track) actually has 14 or 15 tracks because the skits are in the songs, the re-release has 18

this one lists both tracks, but as far as I know on this CD Pump Pump and Gz Up, Hoes Down are one track and The Next Episode is not there at all

I have read some interviews where they say they made over 100 tracks for Doggystyle, I hope that's true and I hope we'll hear them some day, this would be a gold mine if it gets released

It was only listed on the back and was NEVER on ANY pressing of Doggystyle whether it be CD, cassette, or Vinyl. As for sample clearane Mr. Ry is correct that Warren G's Runnin Wit No Breaks samples the same song. I have the sample somewhere.

that's the tracklisting i have on mine. i think it's the OG 1st pressing release then, if there was never "The Next Episode" on any of them.

and also, what's with the sampling? what's so bad about it, that they couldn't release it?

in 7th grade at age 12 i baught doggystyle the day it came mine was on cassete and every song was there except the next episode now the next episode was written on the back and inside but there was no song on the tape i have never herd that song nor was it ever on cd or tape that i know of becuz everyone and there mom owned this album and the next episode was printed on all of them that i saw and not one hd the actual song.......its kinda like the ad inside for death row clothing and shit i order that catalog so many times and it never shipped lol fuckin assholes
