Three Members of Snoop Dogg's Entourage Arrested
LOS ANGELES — Three men were arrested when authorities pulled over a gray armored van that delivered Snoop Dogg to the BET Awards in Hollywood.
Authorities say six other men inside the van were armed. They were detained and questioned last night on investigation of federal weapons charges.
Snoop is a convicted felon and police say it's illegal for a felon to possess weapons or hire armed security guards.
Federal agents didn't detain the 31 year-old rapper, but they talked to his lawyer.
Snoop Dogg could face federal charges that carry a penalty of up to ten years in prison.
Two of the three men arrested were wanted by authorities for misdemeanor crimes. The other was wanted on parole violations.
The six others were armed and identified themselves as Snoop's security detail. They were released.
