^^^so you know for a fact artists aren’t promoting they shit? You physically watching every artist too know they aren’t going out there doing it? Homie just cause they aren’t hitting your hood does not automatically mean they don’t hit hoods at all. and yes people download anyway this is true but I am 1 less person too get it from and when shit hits the fan, I handled business the right way and will not be going too court over a copy write infringement lawsuit.

Snippits are perfect, there is no need for the entire track, period.

I'm not sure about you but when I purchase an album from an artist I've maybe only heard a couple times or don't know of, I want to HEAR a sample of what that album is about. I don't want to get it and then listen to it and be thinking what the fuck is this shit? I would never buy this. So snippits are essential in that sense, anybody not willing to use snippits probably isn't confident in their product and anybody willing to post entire songs, is just stupid, regardless if the album ends up getting bootlegged or not.

That's just how it works, that's the standard. If you look at any commercial online cd stores, they have 30 second snippits. Be happy with a minute or over a minute, that's more than enough.

^^a shit load more work though. cuttin the track then adding fade outs.
Sure is. But hey that's part of the work if nobody is willing to do that to keep a media active site, then what are they doing it for? Without that the site might as well just be shut down.

Besides, you could always give the artists instructions on how to do it themselves and they can send them in. Or you can charge them a very small fee. Or you can get more people to handle the load on the site.
