any of yall have a pet snake like a boa or something of that size? iv been wantin to get one for a while but dont know if its all worth it, my friend used to have and it used to be the shit ,setting up a lil death ring and throwin a mouse in there? i was also thinkin of gettin sometype of spyder or praying mantis. we used to have this huge spider right outside our deck door and it was sick as shit, you put a fly in his web and you watch him circle over start jabbin the fly and then ravel him up in a lil web cacoon, but i dont think it be the same in a glas case.Any body got any stories from cool ass animals(if you could even call them that)

I have 2 baby California King Snakes and one 3year old Cornsnake. 1 of the Kings is a Albino. Their kick ass pets. 2 pinkies each once a week for the youngsters and 1 meduim size rat a week for the Cornsnake.

My cornsnakes name is Brittany and the names of my king snakes are Marshal and Curtis.

I love snakes, I always wanted one. But I don't have the heart to feed a baby mouse to one. So it's a conflict of interests, you could say. But I love my friend's snake. I think it's a python but it could be a boa... I need to ask again. It's like 3 foot now, and I cannot believe how strong that thing is. When it holds onto your arm it's an amazing sensation.

I am terrified of spiders. I would never have one. In that regard I am a total girl. If you come at me with a tarantula I will run away cursing at you. But I am cool with snakes and lizards, and mice and rats. Just no spiders or scorpions, or sting-y angry things...

im over in southern france doin some international studies but am originally from the bay, i had some sick as dream were i was gonna make like this huge dresser that would hold a snake tank a fish tank and then three small other tanks to hold i dunno, like a praying mantis some type of spider and something else, its all in my head, i would jus get high and watch the eco system, my friends cousin once raised a snake ,tranchula, rat, scorpion, and lizard and when they were matured put them in a arena took shrooms and just watched them go at it, if i remember the lizard went after the spider and the rat was running around till the snake got him ,the lizard got spiked by the trancula and when the snake was pausin eatin the snake the scorpian went around and startin spikin it in the body, crazy shit, coulda all been bullshit but it got me thinkin .

tonguetwista what are your experiences with your snake, are they high maintence and do they cost alot to maintain, iv allways loved chillin with a boa, but i dunno im used to dogs and shit,so i dunno if it would get old after a while or not, but iv been thinkin about this shit for hellllllllllla long

I bought him at a month old back in '98 (shoebox size). He'll be 7yrs next month (bedroom size now). Right now he's 14ft, 70 lbs, being a male they usually max out around 17-18ft round 100-125lbs. Females get in their 20s in length because they reproduce/lay eggs so they have a bigger girth. I give him 2-3 large rabbits at the begining of each month and he stays in for bout week and half to "digest" and then I take him outside to goto bathroom. He has a fresh water bowl so he urinates bout twice a month. Real low maintence. I don't have to worry bout the food/water situation if I should go away for a few weeks like I would with my dogs. No noise no odor and being here in Florida we only have a few weeks of cold weather and that's bout the only time he doesn't come outdoors. The cold weather can be a death sentence to reptiles.

WTF you have that motherfucker just chillin in your room!? I don't like snakes for some reason but they are interesting. I'm always watching national geographic shows on Anacondas and King Cobras. On my grandpas property we used to round up snakes (dont know which kind), hang them in gunny sacks from a tree, and beat em.
