SMOG HELP!!!

ALRIGHT IVE HAD THIS 77 CADDY CHILLIN IN FRONT OF MY HOUSE FOR MONTHS. I BOUGHT IT OFF OF RESSE LONG TIME AGO BUT DIDNT DO SHIT WITH IT. NOW IN ORDER TO GET IT REGISTERED TO SELL IT I NEED TO SMOG IT. I KNOW DAMN WELL THIS SHIT WONT PASS SMOG AND NO WHERE IN MY TOWN WILL HOOK ME UP, THE ONLY PLACE THAT USED TO GOT SHUT DOWN. CAN ANYBODY HELP ME? THE ONLY THING IS THAT I DONT THINK MY CAR WILL SURVIVE THE DRIVE OUT OF TOWN TO A PLACE THAT WILL HOOK ME UP. ANY SUGGESTIONS? I WILL PAY SOMEBODY IF THEY CAN HELP ME OUT!

u might wanna check if you even have to smog it cuz you might not i dunno the only old cars i ever owned that didnt need to be smogged were from the 60's and i know early 70s for shure dont need to be smogged if worse comes to worse buy i new catalyc converter and then try to smog it it should pass then

and as far as i know they cant hook you up becuz the smogg details go to dmv b4 them so its impossible the only way is to find a shop that would be cool with you backin up a different car to there machine but good luck on that

YAH YOU DONT HAVE TO SMOG IF ITS A 76 AND UNDER LOL, ONE FUCKIN YEAR.. BUT I GOT HOOKED UP ON MY LAST CAR, GAVE DUDE A BILL AND ALL OF A SUDDEN THE FAIL TURNED INTO A PASS.. THANKS FOR THE RESPONSE THO HOMIE

damn, if you wouldve had a 75 or older you wouldve been exempt...76 and newer require smogs..the state of california offer assistance programs that can help you pay for it. i think if the repair is more that $500.00 they'll pay for it, something like that...look into it
