because ricc seems to think that the dodgers will be better than the giants this season..

right now the only team that could see the giants is the d'backs, and theyve taken some losses too..

you cant tell me, esp adding affeldt, howry, and renteria, with possibly cc, dunn, cantu, or possibly fielder, tex, manny that the giants are gonna be worse than the dodgers..

the howry signing is questionable.. up until now dude sucks. Let's see how he does.. I will tell you this.. we got alot of good talent in the farm system so we can only go up from last season. Unless we trade those prospects away again.

i based my comments on who we've already signed, and only speculated about who the giants have been possibly linked to in published reports..

but even if the giants go into their season with the lineup i put in the "Giants lineup in 09" thread, they're still far and away better than the dodgers..

even if the dodgers keep manny, who else do they put around him?? loney, kemp, martin and ethier are solid players, but the dodgers are losing 14 players or so to free agents..

IT'S WAY TO EARLY TO EVEN START TALKING SHIT. SIGNINGS ARE STILL IN PROGRESS,TRADES ARE ABOUT TO HAPPEN, GAMES NEED TO BE PLAYED , AND INJURIES ARE BOUND TO HAPPEN.
YOU MIGHT REGRET MAKING THIS THREAD IN A FEW MONTHS.

SHIT THE YANKEES GOT A-ROD, MARIANO, ABREU, RODRIGUEZ, GIAMBI, AND OTHER MARQUEE PLAYERS. YET THEY STILL DIDNT MAKE THE PLAYOFFS, THERE IS A REASON THE GAME IS PLAYED CAUSED NAMES ON A PAPER DONT MEAN THE TEAM IS GOING TO BE WORTH SQUAT.
