PHILADELPHIA (AP) -- Allen Iverson had 22 points and matched a season-high with nine assists, and Keith Van Horn added 20 points and nine rebounds as the Philadelphia 76ers defeated the Portland Trail Blazers 90-79 Friday night.

The Sixers improved to 13-2 since the All-Star break and snapped Portland's three-game winning streak.

Aaron McKie had 13 points, Eric Snow scored 12 and Derrick Coleman grabbed 10 rebounds for the 76ers. Snow left the game briefly in the fourth quarter with a lacerated right middle finger but returned after receiving five stitches.

Damon Stoudamire had 16 points, Rasheed Wallace scored 15 and Dale Davis had 12 points and 12 rebounds for the Trail Blazers, who turned the ball over a season-high 25 times.

Philadelphia scored 11 of the first 15 points of the fourth quarter and pulled ahead 75-65 when Van Horn slammed down an alley-oop pass from Iverson with 8:55 left.

The Trail Blazers pulled within six, but another dunk by Van Horn off of a pass from Iverson capped a 6-2 run to extend the Sixers' lead back to 10. Portland was unable to get closer than eight in the final six minutes.

A 3-pointer by Wallace capped a 14-6 run to pull Portland within one, 62-61, with 54 seconds left in the third, but a layup by Aaron McKie off an nifty pass from Iverson made it 64-61 at the end of the quarter.

The Sixers led by as many 10 in the second quarter and held a 48-41 lead at the break. Iverson had 12 and Van Horn added 10 in the half.

Game notes
Portland's Scottie Pippen missed his second straight game with a left knee effusion and Jeff McInnis did not play due to a broken nose he suffered in Wednesday's win over Toronto. ... The 76ers wore the red road jerseys from their 1982-83 NBA championship team. Several players, including Portland's coach Maurice Cheeks, and coaches from that championship team participated in a halftime ceremony.

all i can say is...lets keep it up....going into the all-star break i was iffy on my teams chances at a serious run to the finals....but now, the way they are playing -- i think they have what it takes...they just have to continue playing as they have been since the break ...and then let everything else fall into place.

the only problem is they can't face the fakers cause the fakers will lose to the kings in the first round.

well maybe the first two years but last year it wasn't the faker team who beat Sac. It was the refs. Last year the kings outplayed the fakers and they'll do it again this year. The only difference is this year even the fucking refs can't help them fakers.

Good shit Sniko, they miss the obvious and find ways to excuse the loss. It's sad really. When my team loses I take it like a man, these cats start crying and making up excuses like its going to help any.

Now its only the third year? Shall I bring up the post where you said some different shit? You guys should huddle together for your excuses, this way you dont look stupid as you and Czar do right now. You just changed the story and Czar agrees hahaha!

I only talked about the kings and the fakers. The refs helped them fakers in every year. They also helped the fakers a lot in that game 7 against Portland in 2000.

No, the Ref's helped the Kings, thats why they even got to a game 7. Without the Ref's help, the Lakers sweep.
