it used to be some hood shit
hyphy wasn't nothin good

if a spot was hyphy as fuck, it didn't mean it was the spot to go and do the thizzle dance, it was the spot you stayed the fuck away from if you didn't need to be there

if a person was hyphy, they weren't going dumb, they were HITTAS they were neighborhood bullies and crazy mothafuckas

if it was "hyphy" it meant the situation was dirty, not fun

i don't know...
it's just hard for me to say hyphy as a good thing

so it'll never mean anything else for me...

and i'm cool off the bay blowing up because of how stupid we get

not that i'm not known to act a fool in some situations
i'd rather us blow up for being intelligent independant hustlas who keep the game running smoothly

hahahha man whatever with this shit. remember when bad meant good? if you say a ho look tough do you mean she look like she could kick your ass? man its just slang, shit changes up.
Yes I agree. examples: Damn that's a BAD bitch! - Them shoes are DOPE!

The hyphy movement is the best thing to hit the Bay Area rap scene since MC Hammer!!!!

Word play and terms change over time. Artists are looking for different ways to reinvent themselves. Let the hyphy movement do what it's doing. You will appreciate it later. But if you aren't benefiting from it, maybe being a rapper isn't the right career move for you.

hyphy became a positive term when stupid, dumb, retarded and ignorant became positive terms.

i feel you though moe, i remember when "hyphy" had a different meaning than it does today...it definately wasn't a compliment lol.
