I've come to accept the fact that this War was about Oil. I understand that, though we say that we want the Iraqis to have control of their oil supplies, we in fact maintain control of these supplies. I understand all this.
So my question is:
WHY THE FUCK AM I STILL PAYING $1.89 a fucking gallon for gas?
I mean, if we're going to preemptively attack and invade a country, the least that could happen is that some of the spoils of war be given back to the citizens. I have the awful feeling that gas and oil prices are going to keep going up. Bush is going to horde all this oil and artificially inflate the price.

the gas stations might be able to lower their prices but why? consumers are starting to get used to paying that $1.89 per gallon. consumers will have to accept the prices of gas or find sumthin else like a battery powered car.

I guess you are unaware that the oil and gasoline that we use today is actually 5 years or more old. and that we in americas heartland i.e. Oklahoma and texas have enough Oil and gas to sell gas at 3 cents a gallon.

I could go on but you'd be utterly disgusted at the gov't even more

My mom does the costco shit, I would but that means I'd have to drive up to Santa Rosa and by the time I do all that shit I would have LOST money from the fuel i'd be burning :dead:

isnt there like a whole bunch of untapped oil underground but it would cost more to get the machines to get it out than it would to buy oil from the east?

nah I'm just sayin my mom does that (goes to costco) cuz she lives in Rosa. I live in Petaluma so it'd be dumb to drive to santa rosa (closest costco) to get gas......

because Iraqi rebels are destroying their own oil wells and little to no oil is coming out of Iraq.

before the war iraq was selling oil to france, germany and alote to russia. now little to no oil is leaving iraq which means that those above countries have to get it same place we are getting it from, places like SA, Kuwait, and some eastern european countries.
which mean the demand is higher than the supply+ higher gas prices.
