it aint the dark though, you still have your imagination.blind people dont see black, they just dont dont use there eyes to see.think of it as a dream state.a bunch of my friends said they would waaaaaaaay rather see then not hear, but after they thought about it for a couple days they decided that they wouldnt be able to live on mute.but one of my friends said fuck it,ill lose my hearing and just listen to bass, you can feel that shit go right through you

I had a friend who was deaf. We used to blast our stereos and he would get a kick out of it cause he could feel it. But yeah, i would much rather be able to see.

remember that if you can't hear, you won't be able talk either. but i need to see.

That's only if you were born not being able to hear, because you wouldnt know what it sounds like..but if I lost my hearing today, I would be able to talk for the rest of my life because I already know how to do it and I know what it sounds like..But I agree..I wouldnt want to live without vision..

Everybody is talking about music and I love music to death, but me I want to see what my kids would look like and my family...Im not married yet either, so I want to see what my wife would look like..I cant imagine not being able to see for the rest of my life..There are too many things you can still do if you can see..things you cant do if you could only hear, but your senses would be extremely advanced...Either way both would be an unfortionate situation, but not being able to see would be worse for me....

Now if I had to be born without 1, that is a different story, because I cant miss what I never had, so not having vision wouldnt be as important to me...I would rather not be able to see...I would still want to be able to hear, so I can talk/communicate and do music...I would be fine looking at life in my own world, instead of this terrible world we live in now...but that's just me

I think losing your sight would be a bigger handicap. You could still do everyday things without hearing. Wihtout eyesight, you couldnt drive a car, read, go running, biking, or even walk around by yourself.

Maybe more than just his hearing was messed up...I dont see how you cant talk after you already know how...unless you have brain damage...then again what do I know...

Now that's a great point that I hadn't thought about initially.

I agree how choosing between losing it now and not having it from birth would make the world of difference.

I knew this deaf kid that wasnt born deaf,he had a real hard time speaking because he couldnt hear himself speak, would mis pronounce words or not even say the word but moving his mouth, some sad stuff, but he didnt mind,i remember in class once he got all pissed off and started hollering random noises, everybody turned around and he was jus chillin drawing annoying the teacher.plus the dude was suuuuuuuper good at reading lips, from across the room he could make out what people were talking about.
i know that when you loose a sense, your other senses get hieghtended.Blind people can hear way better and sense when people enter a room, deaf people pick up conversations and are geniuses at making out facial expresions or body language.
