Ya'll ever use the MicroKorg with Vocoder? I went to the music store today and got a chance to play around with one and I kind of liked it. I was wondering if either of you guys could give me any feed back on this? They want 399.00 for it. I respect ya'lls opinion on subjects like this and thought that ya'll might let me know the getdown with this. thanx.

I know you didn't direct this subject to me - but I'd never buy a Microkorg. It's an analog synth for idiots who don't want to learn analog modelling...so you have like 4 knobs...as soon the west coast gets that shit those sounds will be in every single goddamn beat because you can't hardly change em.

A waste of 400 bucks...buy an MS2000R - it's the same thing but with more tweakability, or better yet, buy a Nord Rack.

I think its tite... Clean ass sounds for such a small piece of gear. The main reason I bought it over the MS2000 is Im a llittle limited on space and the Microkorg is more portable..shit sometimes its so slow at my work Ill just take my Microkorg with me to work and start making sounds on my 2hour breaks..

haha maybe YOU cant change them up very well..youve probally never took enough time to actually fuck with it.
Whenever I tweak a sound and am finished I usually dont even remember what sound I started from it sounds so different.

The micro Korg has more waveforms to choose from.
If you really wanna a good Synth pick up the MS2000B. It has all new patches, and a built in Mic for the vocoder. They released it recently. I have the rackmount version of the MS2000, I love the sounds on it

yes i would agree, its a good keyboard for the price, but i wouldnt plan on using it for the backbone of sounds, it would make a good ADDITION. but im very happy with my ms2000, i have a shitload of patches for it that i dump via sysex, very good virtual synth. i would definetly pick one up for a good begining, but if you want the real deal look on ebay for a korg poly 800 its real analog and its a very slept on synth, you can probably find it on there for less then 120.

lol Nostril King is trippin

instead of a whole bunch of nobs, there's two dials which patch you into to different effects and what not...

it's one of the dopest pieces there's been in a long time

if you buy Gate Won Freestyles 2 you'll hear a beat i made with it...

I haven't used that setup. Actually, I haven't even seen a MicroKorg sitting around in a while man. Trust your ears though, if you got that setup sounding good then that's that!
