As I was just scrolling through the all the Siccness boards, I realized just how many passionate fans/artists/labele execs there are out there, so I thought of this idea:

What about a Siccness Compilation? This could potentially be 1) a tremendous display of talent and 2) a major unitying force. Just think, an 18-track album with the best from San Diego, Inglewood, Compton, LA, Las Vegas, San Francisco, Oaktown, Vallejo, San Jose, Sacramento, Portland, Tacoma and SEATTLE. That would be so tight, all the members would buy a copy (they could get a discount), they'd get to hear some of the shit from the other forums, then they could go on the others and post their thoughts. I think it's a great idea.

What do all you guys think? It'd just be a nice way to unite the WEST COAST and take a small step toward taking back what was once ours, supremacy in this rap game.

People are already a step ahead of you Tha Rippa and Biggz are putting out The Siccness Lethal Injection Compilation, just siccness affiliated artists. Mo-X and Lil' G and Villain will be appearing on that be sure to get it when it drops. Good looking out though.

Stupid Idea #362-A

fuck it, organize another one...(get ready, im bout to start rambling...!)..here goes..

flip the concept, like...get 3-4 hard hittin producers together to form a group/collective (think: neptunes, trackmasters, etc), then have em feature songs from Siccness affiliates...

dont even put a label behind it; fuck a label and a 6-month-from-now release date! make it a Siccness cooperative. Get all the tracks shipped out simultaneously (or as close to it as possible), and get em all done in a month or two. Then master that shit, ship it off to the cd-presser-up'ers, and boom.

Fuck copyrights, fuck publishing, fuck all that other delay-the-project-5-months type shit....just do it for the MUSIC, the music fans, for hip-hop, for the streets..for all that shit! Press it up, sell it in the Sicc Shop for 5-10$ (Sem Fit-ty sounds about right)...reimburse the people that mastered the tracks first, then the engineers, then the producers...then the rappers...

As far as album structure, just say for example....Bow Wow makes a POSSE track with Mac Money & Mr DOG, Street Level makes a posse track with Sarkastik, J-Dub, Young vicious & Crytical..Jus Family makes a posse track with Cool Nutz, Bosko, Ray-Ray, and--well, you get the point!

Its a perfect "sampler" of artists...no one artist spits too much or too little. No "solo" tracks; no guest features. Just roster songs!

My foolish-ass, 18-year-old wannabe ass conclusion is like this....If a label couldnt or wouldnt make a one/SINGLE/ONLY ONE/etc roster/group song within a couple months, and submit it, and expect NOTHING back for it...then they aint about SHIT!! and they whine too much too. "blah blah, you dont understand about the business, blah blah BLAAAAAAH! SHUT THE fUCK UP AND RECORD THE SONG FOR FREE BIATCH!!"

ok...ok, im alright now..seriously, im ok! alright? ok, cool.

Think about it...

just a quick appendage..

I dont wanna hear none of that "it wont work cuz of ___" or "its not a good idea because ___" Bullshit! i DO wanna hear "It would make it easier if ___" or "it might even be possible to..."!

No matter how many groups are already doing a Siccness compilation, there's always a new way to switch it up, ya dig?
