THE ONLY ALBUM I KNOW OF THEY DROPPED BACK IN '96
FROM EAST PALO ALTO

FIRST SONG RELEASED ON A REGIONAL LEVEL WAS CALLED "LONG LASTING" ON THE EPA CITY COMPILATION IN '93

A CLASSIC ALBUM THAT IS VERY HARD TO GET YOUR HANDS ON AN ORIGINAL COPY.

Moe, you know a dude named Lamar from that group? Or at least if he ever put anything else out? I recognized his voice on Keep Flowin on a lot of the songs, but he wasn't on Long Lastin.

I met him years ago, in like 93 or 94 or something, he had moved from EPA to Oakley for a while. He recorded a couple tracks with us, and I remember he said "SIC, Sic Insane Criminals" at the beginning of one track, then spit a verse that sounded like it was for the song Long Lastin but wasn't on the album. If he has anything out I wanna peep it, his shit was dope.

Moe: My bad. I forgot about that shit. I'm gonna call Splerg tonight and give him your number to give to Crack.

SIC is dope as fuck. They are workin' on a new album right now. When I ran into them at the studio a month or so ago they had about 8 tracks done.

neo: This is what Splerg told me when I talked to him last:

The group still consists of Splerg, Crack Dealah, K9 and Shay-D.

They have about 8 songs done right now with production from Sean-T, Mike D & Sonny B, and a few other producers. They are trying to get Rick Rock on production as well. There are no features recorded yet, just group songs. There will be a few local features, but they are really trying to put some BIG names on there. Don't wanna give 'em away yet.

They have an album that was supposed to drop a few years ago that was completely finished and may be released sometime soon though. It featured Daz, Dwayne Wiggins of Tony Toni Tone, Totally Insane, Devin and Spice 1. Production was from Mike D & Sonny B, Minnesota and Rick Rock.

....................................

If I get anymore info from Splerg tonight I'll post it here for you.

Long Lasting is a classic... underrated also

in a list of classic bay area albums, there's a good chance that Long Lasting will not be mentioned... there's 2 versions, one with some funny singing on the hooks and one without.... with one without is the original and is tighter than the other version

SIC have a strong following given the little exposure they've had thus far. So it goes to show how sic they are.
My little bro was flowin to one of them cats at a local liquor store and he was really feelin it.
Hmmmm.... Might colab with them sometime in the future.

It's good to see cats with good taste out there!
From what I heard, their new shit's gonna come with heat....

Yeah Crack was talkin bout my little bro.
He calls himself RENO. He's the youngest one in our group but he has the hardest delivery. I've been working hard this past few months on our content. We were gonna come with some straight killa horrorcore shit but I had a change of heart during the time.
Now we're just gonna drop some reality shit, but we're still gonna have something for everyone so the horrorcore shit's still gonna be in there.

Man the rap game is tough. We've been tryin to get started for over a year now. We've done a couple tracks here and there, talked to Woodie, Black & Brown and some other cats too.
But nothing's materialized yet. Everyone who's heard our shit is lovin it and say nothing but good things about it.
Ad heard some of our shit before gettin locked up.
Chunk and Skoot said they were down for a feature but I don't know. Just might go with my nigga Joe Moe for now.
What do you think? Should we do a track with Chunk and Skoot?
I thought about that for a sec but then thought folks might be tired of features and shit since muthafuckas over do that shit now days....

Yeah we were thinking of callin ourselves the ALB Boyz at one point. But I didn't wanna be too affiliated with the locals here since everyone's beefin now days. We're gonna go with Contra/Banned.... I like the sound of it and the meaning as well.

You talk to Charlie, arabic hahahha? He's Greek, at least that's what he tells us. We haven't heard from him in a while. I wanted him to throw in some production in our album ya know. To get him involved and shit but my little bro Reno, his closest friend among us told me he started flakin on him. So oh well....

Talked to Splerg Monday night.

The SIC album has been rescheduled and they will instead be dropping a solo album from Splerg first with the group album to follow. Splerg said he has about 9 songs done right now for the solo.
