we all know this is a controversial subject. many think he tarnished his legendary status by returning to the wizards at the tender age of 40 (or was it 41?). many think he should have stayed in retirement.

what yall think?

Should Psycho Logic have posted a poll?

in hindsight, no he should not have come back. In reality, how are you going to tell the greatest basketball player ever don't return to the sport. He was smart to retire when he did and not play another 2-3 seasons when he would have really tarnished his image.

I get tired of athletes that retire and then return....talk about ruining a moment...

I think it would have been better for him to stay in retirement, but I don't it's fair for anyone to say he shouldn't have come back. If someone thinks that playing a couple lousy seasons at the end of his career can somehow tarnish what he did in his prime (and most of his career), then they are sorely mistaken..especially given what Michael Jordan had done. If someone wants to focus on the last two years of his career instead of all the amazing years before them, then that's on them, but in no way does it ruin or taint what he had already accomplished.

I think he should have come back. I was a Drexler fan back in the day and I used to hate Jordan because he was so deep but I have to admit I did like to watch him play. But coming back after he retired was purely his decision and if he felt he shoud/could still play to help his team then why not? Basketball is something he really enjoyed like Jerry Rice and Football. If Jordan came back and shot 25% for the Wizards that still wouldn't erase a damn thing he did in Chicago. He won 6 championship with two 3-peats. Can't erase that no matter how many times he came out of retirement. Everybody knows Jordan couln't be touched by anyone while he was at the top of his game. He should have came back as many times as he wanted to.

Hell no. The lasting image youngsters have is an old washed up Jordan playing for the THEN wack ass Wizards. Nothing like the MJ I was blessed to watch as a kid.

Yes, if anyone was gonna do it, it was gonna be Jordan.

Besides, who was gonna be able to convince the best ever that he was not gonna be able to do it?

I dont think he shouldve came back. He went out perfectly with the Bulls. That was the dream career of most athletes. U hit a beautiful game winning jumper to win your sixth championship. That shouldve been it. He fucked up his stats when he came back.

HIS COMEBACK AT THE TIME GAVE THE NBA SOME MUCH NEEDED RATINGS, IT DIDNT RUIN HIS LEGACY AT ALL, I KNOW I TRIED TO WATCH EVERY WIZARDS GAME BUT TO BAD HE DIDNT GET THEM TO THE PLAYOFFS.
