WHAT WOULD BE SO WRONG WITH IT? WE ARE BEING WATCHED BY THE GOVERNMENT ANYWAY, AND WE ARE HARDLY "FREE" AS IT IS.
This is why your logic is inherently flawed. What you are saying “we are not free as it is so why not give up more of our freedoms” could be analogized to
“I am already obese so rather than loosing weight, why not just keep eating and get fatter?”
Or
“Hey I already have cancer, might as well keep smoking”
This logic fails to account for the unavoidable consequences of the decisions.
Planting chips in immigrants is a terrible idea. This is nothing more than the first step in the process of placing a chip in everyone in the US. First it will be the immigrants, then (as mentioned) prisoners and convicts, after that it could be the elderly for “health and safety” reasons, then maybe students at public institutions, and so on until everyone is covered.
This is my prediction of how this whole issue is going to unfold. This idea will be tossed around and eventually dismissed in the name of personal privacy. Next, the government will continue to allow thousands of illegal immigrants to cross into the US. After some time a terrorist attack will occur on our own soil and the terrorists will be found to have passed our porous borders. After this is made public the issue of planting microchips in immigrants will be brought up in the aftermath of the attack. In the name of national security and patriotism, the gullible American public will be duped into accepting the idea of chipping immigrants, and the path I detailed earlier will begin.
