Wendy’s manager shot over limit on chili sauce

Drive-through customer gets angry about denial of extra condiments

MIAMI - A Wendy's manager was shot several times in the arm early Tuesday trying to protect the restaurant's chili sauce, authorities said.

A man in the drive-through argued with an employee because he wanted more of the condiment, police said. The worker told the customer that restaurant policy prohibited a customer from getting more than three packets.

The man insisted on 10, reports said. The employee complied, but police said the customer wanted more.

When the manager came out to speak to the man, the customer shot the manager, Miami-Dade police spokeswoman Mary Walters said. He was taken to Ryder Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries, police said.

The shooter fled with a female passenger.

"I did not know I got shot," store manager Renal Frage told WTVJ-TV in Miami. "When I went back to the office, I saw blood pumping out of my arm, and I was shocked. I was checking myself out and couldn't believe I got shot over some chili sauce."

Frage added: "I got shot over chili sauce. I was trying to figure while in the hospital why someone would shoot me over some chili sauce."

Damn that motherfucker wasn't trying to take no for an answer. That's crazy as fuck. If I was the guy that got shot I'd quit. How you gonna get shot over chilli sauce and look yourself in the mirror the next day.

people that take their fast food job that seriously to deny the man some sauce are lame. not saying they deserve to get shot, but fuck it, give up the sauce.

I hate it when I go to McDonalds, and I ask for extra sweet and sour sauce, and they say "that will be an extra 11cents" WHY?? its not like im taking money out of there pocket... they act like if the give away one extra sauce there going to loose so much money..... it not like the person running the drive thru owns the fuckin company....

i don't know I be lightweight feeling those employees plight though they're just doing their fucking job. It's not like the guy at the register made up the rule that jay jay can have no more than 5 sweet and sour sauces. I mean shit if you need that much chilli sauce or sweet and aour sauce go to safeway and buy a bottle so you can drown your food in sauce. Yeah their job is fucked up but it's still a job and they still got to follow orders.

Well they are fucking tools then for making minimum wage and trying hella hard at their job. I would be like fuck this company they aren't paying me shit. Here is 20 sauces.

But what if they got kids and shit and they just trying to feed the fam? I don't know I always try to treat people with shitty jobs with respect and I don't even think negative thoughts about them. You're not better than anybody because of how you make your money.

dont get it twisted, I use to work at Mc Donalds and i know that people can give you a hard time... all im saying is that some people take there job way tooo serious.

Shieeet, shoulda just gave him some sauce. He walked outside and everything to talk to ol boy.. on the other hand, just buy some fuckin sauce from albertsons or some shiet.. how you finna shoot somebody and put yourself in that situation over some damn sauce. Craziness
