Police investigate the area around the SUV.

KENT, Wash. - Police are investigating the death of a man who was found slumped in an SUV in the middle of a busy highway with a bullet wound on Sunday.

Police and medics initially responded to the scene, on Pacific Highway South near Kent-Des Moines Road, at about 11:45 a.m.

They found a white GMC Yukon parked in the northbound lanes of the highway. Inside the vehicle was a lone man slumped over the steering wheel with a gunshot wound to the abdomen.

Officers and medics pulled the man from the vehicle and tried to save him, but they were not successful, said Lt. John Straus of the Kent Police Department.

The victim, a 32-year-old man from South King County, was pronounced dead a short time later.

Now detectives are trying to determine if the death is accidental, homicide or a self-inflicted injury.

Straus said a weapon was found inside the vehicle.

that kid just got outta jail last friday and then got murked......what i heard on the radio is that witnesses said him and some other faggot were throwing up gang signs at each other which cause the shots.....we've got some real fucking intelligent human beings around here.....and then there's the tuba guy who got killed and like 1-3 other people...


last weekend, i heard 11 people got shot, 1 got stabbed, and 2-3 died.....they brought up that gang shit and that GAY ASS gang map that someone posted from the PI or whatever it was......they named of tons of names and then went and "in Shoreline," which made me change the station. Fucking Shoreline does not have a gang problem. Just cause people who live there may happen to be in a gang doens't mean they operate or do dirt in or around that area. I laughed my FUCKING ass off when they said SBC though.....yeah, Santana Block COMPTON Crips in Seattle......some dumb shit if you ask me. It's got A LOT of people freaked out though....and now our mayor is going to ban guns in PUBLIC areas.....that'll be great when someone gets robbed all cause they weren't allowed to carry their strap even tho they have a concealed weapons permit.

If a child is raised to where gangs are normal everyday life than its expected to run with the pack. ^^i agree with part of what you're saying....BUT....the gov't didn't create section 8 for BLACKS....they created it for people who can't afford regular rent. there's A LOT of white people in that catagory. and the gov't didn't say, "hey you will move here or die." so it's on the individuals who live there to make shit happen. it IS possible whether or not people wanna do shit or recognize they can do something. and it's not like the gov't went through gang files and said, "ok you're a crip, you move here, and this blood will move right next door." it's simple coincidence and a shitty situation has resulted from it. that's just my take on it.

i agree...i grew up in subcidised housing in denver and colorado springs...i didnt see it as having something taken away from me, i saw it as help in a hard time

in regard to the housing stuff.....i was in south seattle earlier (holy park area) and there's quite a few new developments going in.....and the signs say 200K+....i do'nt know who the fuck in their right mind would spend that kinda dough to live in fucking south seattle. i saw some other places that were on highland dr sw or some shit like that and they were 300K+....yeah FUCKING right.....even in Lake Forest Park (pretty much a white yuppy area) houses are about that price. and the places in south seattle weren't very nice.

on a side note, i was following my boss with some polyethelene pipe on the work truck i was driving and he tied it down before we left.....fucking comes loose at 16th and holden and goes across the street and scatters in the crosswalk in front of the fucking 5-0. i hopped out and grabbed as much as i could and some other people helped too casue they wanted to get going.....NO TICKET though. Something was lookin out for me on that one!! lol...
