Sad how shots are fired into crowded bus stops, and lil kids grow up thinking that's normal.

The shooter opened fire some 100 yards from where a group of police officers were located. Officers sprang into action the moment the shots were fired and began searching the parking lot for the shooter.

The shooter was described only as a young man with a shaved head, and police believe he escaped on foot after firing at least four or five times.

Authorities have made no arrests in connection with the incident.
so if officers "sprang into action" and they were only 100 yards away, why were no arrests made? shit like this is ridiculous. there's 98 murders already, and I'll bet less than 10 people have been arrested for suspiscion of murder. I know this is a gangsta rap message board, but fuck that shit. this is where I live, and these sorry ass cops ain't doing shit. someone was killed recently a block from where I live, and for the next couple days there was an officer posted at the intersection. just sittting there. not doing shit. for hella hours. the first day (he was killed in the night time) there were two cop cars at the intersection, one posted just outside the house. I know thats supposed to make us all feel safer, but it just makes me more upset that a kid dies and instead of being out searching for the car involved, they're sippin coffee on a residential corner chillin. oh, and what a great description of the person, a bald young man......well that narrows it down! :ermm:

There is a reason only 35% of the murders this year have been solved in Oakland and it doesn't take much to figure why. No one wants to get involved for obvious reasons. But to me the cops ran right to the sound of gunshots on the video.

if you're scared, go to church. there's no reason they should be scared. they know they're oakland police, they know it gets bad out here, they know residents are tired of it. I understand people need to talk/"snitch", but shit. maybe people are scared to talk because they know oakland police can't protect them. but opd is being paid alot of money.....too much for them to be runnin scared.

I understand the big picture regarding OPD, I was just stating the video showed the cops run right to the sound of gunfire right away.
